Women in Senior Leadership

Why is it that the professional development ambitions of female secondary school leaders are not being translated into senior leadership and Headteacher positions?

Following 3 years of success, George Abbot Teaching School have been awarded funding for a fourth year to offer a tried and tested programme at no cost to support women into senior leadership and to provide the support and confidence needed in order to make that next step.

We will draw upon the expertise and skills of those who successfully lead local primary and secondary schools.

In order to be effective, it is essential that we fully understand the current barriers you face.  We are committed to providing you with:

This programme offers face to face days and workshops, career counselling interviews, networking and placement opportunities.  The project is fully funded by the National College for Teaching and Leadership through the NCTL collaborative fund.

The programme will take place over three and a half days between November 2019 and April 2020. Session dates and times TBC.

Places are limited to 10. A selection process may be required if the course is over-subscribed.
